Blog? Ok...if everyone else can do it, so can I. I'm really good at rambling, so I'm sure I can do this....heh heh heh. So.....I've set all my settings and changed a few font colors....and set up my profile. Later I'll tackle seeing what else I can do!
Because I spend most of my time here in the house, I say "I have no life".....strangely, when I do get out and around, weird things happen to me....so, you may find it boring here a lot of the time......but expect the unexpected!!!
Ok...for those who don't know me, I guess I'll do a brief intro (and if you know me, you KNOW I can't be brief!!!). I was born in this area, and though we moved away from it when I was small, it has always been "home" to me. I grew up and married a transplanted Vermonter......we moved around the state a bit and raised our only child. About 10 years ago - several years after our kid was grown and gone - DH and I decided to get away from the "ratrace" of southern Maine and moved back to this area about 10 years ago. It has it's ups and downs - we put up with the "cons" to be able to enjoy the "pros".
Last year was a hard one emotionally for us - my husband lost his mom, an aunt and 5 uncles in 2006. 2007 didn't look as though it was going to be much better, but it's looking up now. Hubby was hurt on the job on Christmas day, but he's nearly back to full capacity, so we can throw that out the door! And though his dad is now undergoing cancer treatments, we're staying upbeat and confident that he will beat this!!! We just got a new-to-us car, so I am able to get out and about again - WOO HOO! And....this summer we're going to be able to realize hubby's lifelong dream of fishing in Alaska.....ya can't beat that!

This is great Ree--I will share my blog addy too so we can keep up with each other. This will be a great place to post about your trip to AK this summer. I am looking forward to that. Muriel said she might be coming here and will try to plan when you are in the area too. Anything firmed up yet?

wish I could say I was going to Alaska soon? wouldnt that be something? Ree, pretty soon you will see how easy it is to post pics and do all sorts of things--HAVE FUN!!!
